Capone

Capone was found lying helpless on the streets of Kolkata, India, after being beaten by locals who didn’t want him. He had been crying out in pain for three days, but no one came to help.

When animal advocate Meenakshi learned about Capone and Sana, she rushed to find them. Both dogs were barely able to move and had given up hope.

SDS was contacted, and we knew we couldn’t leave them behind. They were rushed to the hospital, where they received IV fluids, pain medication, and weeks of care. Thankfully, neither had broken bones, and little by little, Capone learned to walk again.

With no safe place for them to return to, we arranged for Capone and Sana to travel by train to Delhi. They have now arrived safely, completed their veterinary check, and are settling into boarding at Indie Love while they wait for their chance at a freedom flight to Canada.

Capone survived because someone chose to help. Now he needs a family to choose him. 🐾
